Ancasta Appoint A New Race Boat Broker
With our roots firmly established in the race boat market, Ancasta are very pleased to announce the appointment of our new Race Boat Broker, Sam Pearson.
We’ve built up a considerable race boat brokerage service, and our catalogue contains a broad collection of racing boats from cruiser racers to the finest grand prix yachts. Hamble Yacht Services, part of the Ancasta Group, is the UK’s largest all service boat yard and the centre of Keel Boat Racing in the UK. These strong affiliations with the racing fraternity have proven to expand the race boat division of Ancasta’s business so quickly it was deemed imperative to dedicate one person entirely to the task of promoting and looking after this sector of our interests.
Having gained his Honours degree in Yacht & Powercraft Design, Sam left Solent University in 2008 to pursue a career in professional yacht racing. He began with the Bear of Britain Campaign, and then spent a year working as a boat builder in Poole. Keen to re-establish his sailing career, in May 2010 he moved to Cowes on the Isle of Wight and has since been working and competing professionally on a TP52, Farr 52’s and a variety of grand prix racing yachts.
Since the release of the McConaghy Ker 40, Sam’s attentions have been focused on managing and sailing the class in both European and UK based campaigns. Knowing the pedigree of the Ker and McConaghy, Sam told us
“When this exciting opportunity came up with Ancasta to represent this brand and their extremely impressive race boat catalogue, I immediately recognised the potential to take the Ker class and other grand prix boats to the next level of sales and service. I am equally as enthusiastic to introduce and work with the premium cruiser racers such as the Beneteau First range”
