  • Ancasta's office in Port Solent is perfectly situated to service our vendors’ requirements, whether selling or buying. With two full time brokers we are in a great position to cover boats based in the Port Solent marina along with those in Gosport, Portsmouth Harbour, Southsea and on Hayling Island.
Our office overlooks the whole site at Port Solent and buyers find access to the site through excellent transport links. There is plenty of storage ashore here, especially over the winter, and we also have berths on which we can give brokerage craft excellent exposure.
 
Port Solent is an 850 berth marina complex with a large and varied selection of bars, restaurants, shops and cinema. It is very popular with first time buyers and experienced boat owners alike, who enjoy it's atmosphere and convenience.

Our office has been firmly established here for nearly 20 years, is open seven days a week and customers are assured of a warm welcome whatever stage they are at in the process.

The moment you list your boat with this office, it is immediately available across our whole network – Falmouth to Brighton, Hamble to S France, Cowes to Palma.

  • Geraint Skuse

    Geraint Skuse

    Geraint is the manager of the busy Port Solent office and having grown up on the River Thames, he has spent most of his life on or near the water. From a very early age helping his father fit-out a 12 metre Dutch steel cruiser through to part-time jobs crewing on passenger boats during the Summer holidays, he knew that his passion for the water was going to turn in to a career. Having graduated from university, he then re-located to the South Coast where he has spent the last 22 years in the marine industry selling new & used luxury sail and motor yachts. He has sold a number of new boat brands in the past including Fairline, Sealine, Bavaria, Beneteau, Prestige and most recently Sunseeker. He has extensive international brokerage experience having sold to a number of countries throughout Europe and beyond. Conversant in French & German and Full ABYA & BRBA membership. When not at work Geraint enjoys spending time with his family, boating, fishing, keeping fit and watching rugby & football.

    Rupert Jameson

    Rupert’s life lifelong passion for sailing started at a very young age, leading him to compete in events all around the world in various dinghies. He achieved notable success in multiple classes such as becoming a European champion and various other titles with the RS Feva. Rupert loves everything to do with boating and is committed to sharing his love and passion for the water with others, Rupert brings his infectious enthusiasm and is committed to supporting clients throughout their boating journey.

    Olivia Lewis

    Olivia is the newest member of the Port Solent team, bringing her extensive maritime background from the super yacht industry. With her offshore yacht master qualification, she has sailed in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, including an Atlantic crossing. With hands-on experience managing tenders and super yacht maintenance, Olivia understands the high standards and expectations of clients, providing valuable insights into the brokerage process. Her enthusiasm and approachable nature make her a true people person, dedicated to helping clients find their perfect vessel. Outside of work, Olivia stays active through training in judo and netball, as well as traveling to new destinations. She is excited to bring her energy and expertise to your yachting journey!

Boat Samsara
After several months of looking and two failed surveys, I have just completed the purchase of my first boat, a Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795. As a newcomer to boating I have to admit my first impression of boat brokers was pretty poor (compared to other industries I deal with) - descriptions were definitely on the optimistic side, boats were untidy, dirty and generally poorly presented. No excuses, just very poor sales and I would be careful who to list my boat with in the future. Then I came across Ancasta (Leo Walters) who shone bright like a beacon. The description of the boat was accurate, minor faults highlighted and extra pictures provided on request. Communications with Ancasta have been excellent, the boat was very well presented for inspection and after sales Ancasta remained interested to ensure my experience was positive. I wouldn't hesitate going to Ancasta for another purchase and if you are thinking of selling a boat, consider using Ancasta, you will get better service and value for money than many other brokers out there. And as a buying customer I would feel confident buying through them so you would be more likely to sell to me!

"Excellent Company to Deal With "In early September I decided to sell my 2006 Monterey 250CR and after some good recommendations I decided to try ancasta boat brokerage in Port Solent I was greeted by a very friendly guy called Geraint who sat me down with a coffee and explained the whole process to me from start to finish which made me feel very at ease. As promised Geraint turned up a couple of days later photographed the boat and it was put on their website for sale the next day. Before I knew it I had a phone call from them and they had a buyer for the boat, we agreed a price and the deal was done, I was extremely happy.
