OFFSHORE 45 For Sale | 1991
1991 Offshore 45 Yacht in her second ownership since new this is a well founded and capable cruising yacht. The Cat Ketch rig offers efficient and easy cruising, with lightweight spars and minimal sail handling. Light unstayed masts provides simplicity and reliability, due to a lack of wire rigging, and a very moderate draft. Powered by a Yanmar engine with a bow thruster to aid close quarters manoeuvres. Her inventory includes a suite of navigation electronics, full cockpit covers, heating and safety equipment. There are dedicated berths for six with an occasional double in the saloon. Very well laid out with secure galley, nav station and comfortable seating. This is a rare and unusual yacht that will bring a smile to skipper and crew when setting off on sailing adventures.

Daringly different is how many regard the Offshore 45, the Cat Ketch configuration that make sail handling the simplest of tasks and lightweight carbon tapered spars, one third the weight of conventional rigs, this improves overall stability and the entire sail and spars setup is aerodynamically efficient. Her interior sleeps four very comfortably but there are additional berths to sleep up to eight. The build and design team set out with the intention to include a place for everything that a modern cruising yacht requires and onboard you get the sense that this has been very much achieved. A wonderful option for longer cruising especially short handed or with a young family looking to broaden their horizons.
