Overview

This J/V designed, offshore ready TP52 is now for sale..
Originally built as BRIBON for the King of Spain, before she became "Flying Jenny", "Ice Fire", "RKO" and now "ROCKALL"

Her most recent ownership has by far and away been her most successful and competitive spell, with the last two owners putting her through what can only be described as a "complete overhaul" when they purchased her in 2016 and again in 2017.
Under the direction of top pro's in Australia, ROCKALL (then RKO) was transformed into one of the countries most competitive TP's and arguably there is not a better boat of this generation that can tackle both inshore and offshore racing with the same degree of confidence. 2016 was a big turning point for the boat, with a new sail inventory and carbon rigging installed, it really pushed the performance in the right direction.

Further upgrades in 2017 and again in 2018 from the current and hugely experienced owner include more offshore sails, a new PAC 52 designed rudder and a new B&G H5000 system, means this boat carries high potential.

The boat has not sailed since late 2018 and has been stored indoors.
The boat does now require time and money spending on her to get "race ready" but many high-ticket items are up to date for offshore racing and some elbow grease will go a long way to getting this boat back at the front of the fleets.

Broker Comments

Result highlights include;1st Cabbage Tree Island Race beating "Ichi Ban" and 7 other 50 footers. 1st Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championships 2nd Overall Blue Water Series, beating some of Australia's best! 4th Sydney-Gold Coast Race 1st Transatlantic Race 2018 (Bermuda to Hamburg)Having sailed the boat, it is clear a huge amount of time and money has been invested in her over the last decade, with project management coming from some very experienced people. The boat carries enough internal structure to be pushed offshore, whilst she has the horsepower to work on an inshore platform also. A MUST see if you want to be hoarding IRC or ORC trophies over the next few years, but please understand that boat now requires further investment to get back on the water.
