Overview

The Manhattan 64 was designed for exactly this: long sunny days, short hops between harbours, and evenings on the flybridge with the engines off.

Key features of this boat:
Pace when you need it. Twin MAN 1,050 hp diesels and a deep-V hull give roughly 24 knots cruise and low-30s top speed.
Shallow enough for real harbours.
Tunnelled shafts keep draft around 1.44 m. That matters in the Med more than another knot on the GPS.
Family layout that still works.
Six guests in three ensuite cabins, plus a separate crew cabin aft. Parents in the full-beam master, children or guests forward, skipper or extra friends in the transom cabin. Full Air-conditioning for July and August.
Med kit already on the spec sheet.
Bow and stern thrusters for tight Mediterranean berths. Hydraulic passerelle for quay-to-deck boarding. Hydraulic platform for swimming and a tender. Teak cockpit and wet bar with icemaker on the flybridge — the space you actually live in from May to October.

Practical ownership in Spain.
Spanish flag, VAT paid, lying mainland Spain, near Valencia. Used only as a private boat, for weekend and summer holiday cruises. NOT a charter boat.

Owners comment:
We owned this boat for 10 years. Only used as a private summer boat for the family. Used mainly in summer (about 40–50 hours) plus some weekends.
Maintained year-round by our mechanic, with ocasional crew involvement when required. Reason for selling: Now looking to upgrade to a 70 footer (4 cabins).

Praktische Eigentumsverhältnisse in Spanien.

Broker Comments

PEKES II is a high-spec 2000 Manhattan 64 with the desirable 2 × 1,050 hp MAN package rather than the smaller Caterpillar option. That gives her the pace to run the Spanish coast and Balearics in a working day, while the deep-V hull and tunnelled shafts keep draft modest for Med harbours. The layout is the classic family brief: full-beam aft master, forward VIP, twin guest cabin, all ensuite, plus a proper crew cabin so the yacht can be run professionally or used as extra guest space. The inventory is stronger than a base boat — air-con, bow and stern thrusters, hydraulic platform and Besenzoni passarelle are the items that matter day-to-day in Spain. The honest line. Condition & Maintenance This boat has been very well maintained by her current owner, who has this boat now for 10 years. Full hull repaint 2022. The vessel is maintained year-round by a mechanic and is in good condition. It receives light use, averaging 40-50 hours per summer, and is currently only taken out on occasional weekends. Teak on the flybridge and cockpit was replaced five years ago, while the side decks feature teak-effect imitation. We have a full service history available on request. She is advertised in good order, Spanish flag, VAT paid, and available immediately from the Spanish mainland, near Valencia.
