Cornish Crabbers 24 MKV | 2018
Summary
Overview
Cornish Crabber 24 MKV For Sale. Built and initially sold in August 2018 and enjoyed by her one Owner from new.
"Hattie" is a heavy-displacement Gaff Cutter with a well-protected cockpit and is a delight to sail in all weathers.
Whilst retaining the timeless lines and proven seaworthiness of the original Crabber 24, the modern Wolstenholme designed MKV version offers improved sailing performance and increased comfort. With a "big boat" feel within a 24-foot footprint, the MKV utilises a redesigned deck mold and a more efficient underwater profile to appeal to sailors moving down from larger cruisers or those seeking a high-spec coastal hopper with the ability of creek crawling and drying out on sandy bottoms.
These boats are rare to the secondhand market and "Hattie" therefore represents a solid opportunity for someone looking for a traditional styled sailing yacht.

The Cornish Crabber 24 was first introduced in 1975 and has proven to be a hugely successful design for the British builder with several revisions of the original basic design maintaining her appeal. In 2017 Andrew Wolstenholme was commissioned by the builders to undertake a full redesign of the Crabber 24, with the brief being to ‘progress the boat’s performance without turning it into an average white racing boat’. The Cornish Crabber 24 MkV was the result of this project. Blending modern technology with her carbon mast, timber gaff and boom with traditional styling the all new Crabber 24 MkV has rejuvenated this modern classic design while maintaining the traditional Cornish Crabbers family identity.
