Beneteau 57 | 2003
Summary
Overview
Beneteau 57 (2003), a Bruce Farr design with a good slippery hull, capable of good turns of speed and yet still manageable by a short-handed crew. Bluewater cruiser crossing any ocean or even on a world cruise, the 57 is the ideal boat for the ARC race. With her enormous aft decks leading down to a transom platform via her patented aft access system, her own separate galley, the walk-in engine room, the comfortable crew quarters, the cavernous sail locker and enormous navigation station, as well as a helmsman's position better described as "the bridge", everything about this boat has a "big boat" feel to it.
One of the most extensively upgraded Beneteau 57s currently available, Akka has undergone a major programme of upgrades and servicing through 2023-2026, including a fully rebuilt Yanmar engine, serviced generator and 200l/h watermaker, new 800Ah service battery bank, updated navigation and communications equipment, new tender and numerous systems renewed.
A genuinely turn-key ocean-ready 57.
