HIGHLIGHTS
Spacious and elegant cockpit, with two lounge areas. The forward cockpit has a variety of options in different combinations, like a sprayhood, ridgid sprayhood, arch awning and a hardtop. The Jeanneau 55 has the famous walk around deck with flush foredeck, and a new access to the stern.
Exterior
The cockpit has a double helm station to optimise the visibility when healing. The spacious and generous aft cockpit is dedicated to relaxation, sunbathing and close access to the ocean. It has both sunbeds and a lounge with a dining area. In front of the helm station, under the arch, is the forward cockpit located with an additional sofa and table on the starboard side, which Jenneau refers to as the watch bench. On the port side you can find an exterior chart table with autopilot control. Jeanneau points out that the Yacht 55 offers even better sunbathing areas than a catamaran, as it also has huge sunbeds at the bow in front of the mast as well!
The Jeanneau 55 has the famous walk around deck with flush foredeck, and a new access to the stern. The standard configuration of the cockpit is an arch, but Jeanneau offers a variety of different configuration options in different combinations, like a sprayhood, ridgid sprayhood, arch awning and a hardtop.
Interior
The living spaces are spacious and well planned out, combining optimised functionality and elegant relaxation. This harmonious combination has been conceived for exceptional comfort on board, worthy of larger models. The galley is J-shaped, optimised for life onboard. The kitchen islands in the galley offers a safe and convenient solution to be able to cock even while underway. Opposite of the galley, on the port side, the dining table welcomes you to sit down with friends and family on the comfortable sofa. It even has the space for a TV screen on the wall.
Cabins
The owners cabin at the bow makes up two thirds of the boat, showcasing that the Jeanneau Yacht 55 is designed for the owner. The two aft guest cabins has private accesses, and each cabin har their own bathroom (head). Jeanneau offers two solutions for the front peak area, the standard is a sail locker for storage, which can be replaced by a skipper cabin instead. The front peak is accessible through a lockable deck hatch, and has an access ladder to climb down on. The skipper cabin has a bunk bed and a separated toilet compartment with sink and shower, plus additional storage.
Sails and rigging
The standard configuration features a furling mast with a furling mainsail and a self tacking job. The alternative configuration is the performance version, with a classic mast. It has a full batten mainsail and a furling genoa. On top of this Jeanneau offers a sail combination of 4 different choices, plus the option to add a code 3 sail and a self tacking cutter sail on furler.
