Thousands raised for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust
at the inaugural Ancasta Summer Blast event
We were delighted to welcome more than 100 Ancasta owners, family and friends to Lymington for the very first Ancasta Summer Blast – a fantastic weekend on the water that raised over £6,000 for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
Held from 27–28 June at Lymington Town Sailing Club, the two-day event brought together our growing Ancasta owner community for a relaxed weekend of boating, socialising and fundraising.
A weekend of fun afloat
A varied mix of sailing yachts, catamarans and motor boats joined us, including Beneteau Sail, Beneteau Power, Lagoon Catamarans and Prestige Yachts – all brands we represent in the UK.
The weekend was all about enjoying time afloat with like-minded boaters. From informal racing on the Solent to welcome drinks, a barbecue, live music and a lively charity auction, it was a wonderful opportunity for owners to catch up, meet new friends and make the most of life on the water.
We were also pleased to mark the launch of our new partnership with Goslings Rum, with guests enjoying the Bermudian producer’s signature Dark ’n Stormy® cocktails throughout the weekend.
“We were delighted to see so many of our owners join us with their yachts and enjoy a fantastic weekend together on the water. The Ancasta Summer Blast is a relaxed and socialable event, giving our customers the chance to meet other owners, share experiences and enjoy the boating lifestyle together. We want owners to feel part of a welcoming and active boating community, with opportunities to get out on the water and build longlasting friendships.”

Supporting the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust
We are incredibly proud of our long-standing support for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, which helps young people living through and beyond cancer rebuild confidence through sailing.
Representatives from the Trust joined us for the weekend onboard their new Beneteau Oceanis 47, Peter Pan. The yacht has been made possible thanks to the generosity of long-term supporter Peter A. Norrie, known as PAN.
Peter has always been inspired by J. M. Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan, who gifted the royalties from the story to Great Ormond Street Hospital. In a similar spirit, Peter has supported the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust for many years, helping the charity give more young people the chance to experience the freedom and confidence that time on the water can bring.
One of the highlights of the weekend was our charity auction, where the bidding was friendly, lively and more than a little competitive. Thanks to the generosity of our owners, partners and prize donors, the auction helped take the total raised to over £6,000.
“Ancasta has been an active supporter of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust and the work we do to inspire young people living through and beyond cancer for many years. This auction is another wonderful example of the generosity of the Ancasta team, their customers and partners. Without this continued support, we would be unable to help as many young people as we do today.”
– Jade Beasley from the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust
Our support for the Trust goes beyond fundraising events. For every new sailing boat sold, we contribute towards a sailing adventure with the Trust for one young person.
“Everyone at Ancasta is incredibly proud to support the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust and the life-changing work it delivers. A huge thank you to everyone who donated auction prizes, including Gusbourne, Chewton Glen, Stephen Lees, Aspinal of London, Ashling Park, Gill and Henry Lloyd. We sincerely hope the funds raised during the weekend will help the Trust continue to support more young people and introduce them to the freedom, confidence and sense of possibility that time on the water can provide.”
– Stuart Brotherton, Sales Director at Ancasta
