As the days get longer and Spring approaches, anticipation is growing for an exciting season ahead. The boatyards are bustling with owners getting their boats ready to launch, and Ancasta’s brokers are busy assisting buyers in finding their perfect yacht for a summer of fun on-water adventures.
The boat show season kicks off in April with the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte, France showcasing Lagoon, McConaghy Multihulls and the Prestige M-Line, followed by a curated collection of new sail and motor yachts at the South Coast Boat Show in Southampton and the Palma International Boat Show. The popular British Motor Yacht Show is also coming up in May, featuring the world’s best motor yacht brands, including our collections from Prestige, Bluegame, Beneteau, Protector Boats and Scorpion RIBs.
We have a lot to celebrate this year, including Beneteau’s 140th anniversary and 40 years of Lagoon. We’ve taken great pride in being part of Beneteau Group’s journey for over three decades and look forward to many more years supporting these fantastic brands. The launch of the new Beneteau Oceanis 37.1 and the highly anticipated Lagoon 60 are testament to their legacy of innovation and development. Additionally, we foresee an exciting future at Prestige Yachts with another M-Line model in the pipeline for 2025.
Meanwhile, McConaghy Multihulls continues to impress with remarkable growth, fuelled by innovation and customisation. We will be welcoming the recently launched MC75 ‘Jack’ to European waters in May. ‘Jack’ is arguably the finest example of the ‘fast cruising cat’ genre, and we are very excited about being able to show it to the European market. In other McConaghy news, the MC55 was recently nominated for Multihull of the Year.
Ancasta Race Boats is also delighted to confirm the first private build slot for a foiling McConaghy AC40, paving the way for an exhilarating one-design AC40 racing circuit set to begin in 2025.
In exciting developments at Sanlorenzo Yachts UK, we welcomed the majestic SL90A to UK shores with an immersive experience in London, showcasing the Italian shipyard’s legacy of innovative design and artisan craftsmanship. Furthermore, our follow-the-build series for the highly customised Sanlorenzo SL96A concludes on page 9 following its recent launch.
Things are getting busy for Ancasta’s powerboat team as they prepare to hand over several Protector boats to superyacht crew and racing teams following a recent trip to the Rayglass factory in New Zealand, and the new Scorpion Sting 10m is gaining much attention from owners wanting a high-quality British built RIB.
In the boatyard, Ancasta Yacht Services has expanded its reach with dedicated service centres in both Noss-on-Dart and Hamble, providing more yacht owners with everything they need to keep their boats running smoothly. This valuable support also extends globally, ensuring yacht owners receive expert maintenance assistance wherever they may be.
