New Lagoon In-Boom Furler
Simplify your sailing adventures
Embark on easy-going sailing adventures with Lagoon‘s new in-boom furler designed for catamarans ranging from 46 to 51 feet in length, including the Lagoon 46 and Lagoon 51.
Following an extensive 18-month series of sea trials, the Lagoon in-boom furler makes sail cruising more accessible, straightforward, and reliable. Sail handling can now be executed with precision and control, enhancing the overall comfort of your multihull sailing experience.
Visible Sail
Unlike other in-boom furler systems, the furling mandrel is not enclosed. This allows the crew to observe and control sail handling while hoisting, reefing, and furling. Furthermore, the system features a horizontal feed adjuster, optimising load distribution of the battens on the bolt rope, thus lengthening the lifespan of the sail.
Simple Sail Handling
This system is ideal for families or short-handed crews who want to make hoisting and lowering the mainsail easier. It takes approximately four minutes to hoist the sail using an electric winch for precision control and safety, and in the event of a squall or stronger breeze, you can reduce the sail area quickly.
How To Use
The Lagoon in-boom furler is easy to operate. Just follow these simple steps:
- Release the mainsheet
- Set the topping lift to the stop
- Point the catamaran into the wind
- Ensure the luff is kept taut while hoisting and lowering
