Southerly 32 Lift-Keel, built in 2013 by Northshore to the designs of Stephen Jones. Superior build quality and excellent sailing performance combined with an extremely spacious interior providing accommodation for 6, all in 32 feet!

The fixed ballast is an iron casting, which acts as a grounding plate and as transverse stiffening for the keel unit. The aerofoil shaped keel is cast iron and incorporates a stainless-steel pivot at the leading edge. The keel is raised and lowered by a hydraulic ram powered by an electrically driven pump with a hand operated back-up. All hydraulics are easily accessible for maintenance. There is a keel control and gauge showing keel position fitted at wheel pedestal and a removable stainless-steel pin, positioned to enable the keel to be locked in the ‘up’ position.

Last lifted in October 2021 – pressure washed, Prop anode replaced.
