Overview

"NeoJivaro" is hull #6 of the NEO 430 ROMA series, built in full carbon, with a semi-custom approach to her setup and is a superbly capable, competitive and head turning yacht.
Designed by Giovanni Ceccarelli and built by NEO YACHTS & COMPOSITES in their Bari boat yard under the direction of the Italian Olympian Paolo Semeraro. The yard has built 32 boats so far, of which 15 are the NEO 430 Roma.
Launched by her first and current owner in July 2022, he configured her to thrive in true offshore and ocean conditions, which on top of the boats inherent ORC and IRC ability inshore, paired with her racer-cruiser interior setup, make this a truly compelling race yacht from the modern era.

Build

Hull #6 of the NEO 430 Roma full carbon, semi-custom cruiser / racer designed by Giovanni Ceccarelli and built by NEO YACHTS & COMPOSITES.
NEOJIVARO was built for her current owner and launched in July 2022. She has been meticulously prepared to race fully crewed at the top of IRC (and ORC), with up to 10 (offshore) and 12 (inshore) Corinthian sailors. The ultimate objective was to race the RORC Transatlantic Race.

Built using state of the art technologies and the best available raw materials and components, the whole production process and the prototype itself have been certified as "A category OCEAN" from "E NAVE BUREAU". All the components are made in Europe and EC certified. Hull, deck, bulkheads, structural interiors and all reinforcements are made of hi density PVC core, multidirectional fiberglass and carbon fibers, infused with epoxy resin LV 26 from GURIT, post cured at 65°.

Keel and longitudinal reinforcements are made of multiaxial and unidirectional solid carbon fiber directly infused on the hull. Built-ln carbon fiber chainplates and headstay attachment. Spa bonded hull and deck joint with triple carbon tapers in the hi load areas.

NEOJIVARO MAIN OPTIONS
Fixed T keel made of a Weldox 700 with CFD optimized shell and CNC machined lead bulb. Welds were checked with Dye Penetrant Test by expert commissioned by buyer.
Prepreg twin carbon rudders and rudder stocks autoclaved at 100° (2023 model, retrofitted in 11/2024 then further improved in 09/2025 to reinforce stocks) ; JEFA steering system with alloy arms and self-aligning JEFA roll-bearings

NoeJivaro is fitted with carbon composite rig and boom package from Pauger, who have fitted out the majority of the NEO 430 Roma's.
She is a twin spreader setup, with deck stepped design, to ensure a water tight interior space and increased safety factor, for true ocean racing.

Deck layout and rigging optimization:
- Repositioned mainsheet winches to allow more suitable room for trimmer; added raised wedges to reduce sheet friction
- Added raised wedges to all blocks to reduce risks of sheet override on winches, and reinforced carbon backing-plates
- Rod-22 forestay replaced original PBO in 2024, with twin-groove Shaefer Tuff Luff AERO 2506 head foil, to allow switching from original PBO forestay with single groove Gorilla Rigging's G-Foil (fabric wrap around forestay + polycarbonate plastic extrusion hung behind it) – adds kg but more versatile for sail changes and lowers TCC
- Angled mainsheet traveler track by 20° to align with pulling force of mainsheet thus reducing friction (very effective!)
- Modified jib in-haulers by repositioning mainsheet blocks on coach roof’s sides + increased purchase
- Replaced jib and staysail sheets feeders by double blocks on raised wedges – to reduce friction and sheet override on winch
- Replaced genoa lead cars by Hi Load version
- Headstay strop connecting forestay to BAMAR hydraulic ram lengthened 5cm to increase rake
- Added custom slider on forestay strop to prevent luff tape ripping
- Reinforced jib cunningham to reach 1t SWL (stronger anchor points, stronger blocks, added purchase)
- Added footsteps for Tactician and Mainsail trimmer + modified helmsman footstep (now 2 positions)
- Replaced most ANTAL blocks by HARKEN (esp. mast step halyard blocks) to reduce friction and increase lifetime
- Replaced all ANTAL V-jammers at piano station by Spinlock XCS and XXB (V-jammers too aggressive)
- Moved Staysail and Code 0 tacklines (on Constrictors) from side deck to coach roof
- Replaced Spinnaker Tack line jammer (Constrictor) by KARVER KJ10 (to avoid involuntary tripping by moving crew)
- Added Spinlock ZS0812 flying jammer to allow using a winch for the spinnaker tackline

Broker Comments

"NeoJivaro" is an exciting all-rounder. Clearly setup more for offshore than inshore by her current owner, the attention to detail is really some of the best we have seen at this size and type and the boat is now exceptionally well proven and reliable. With distance racing under IRC his focus, that has been the main objective with his campaign, but we know sistership are thriving under the ORC rating rule as well and they are also superbly capable inshore as well, given they are not overly radical in their chines or foil design. Her "IRC optimization" has been limited to the sail plan, so weights / appendages / rig's etc remain the same as her sisterships, so she is very flexible depending on the next owners plans.
