Overview

For sale: an immaculate, perfectly spec'd Jeanneau 440 Sun Odyssey: winner of SAIL's "Best Monohull Cruising Boat (40-50')" in 2018.

In creating this boat, Jeanneau set a new standard in the mass production of mid size cruising boats. Easily handled by a couple or with family and friends and incredibly comfortable to sail and live aboard, there are some unique innovations which really set this boat's design apart from the competition. The most noticeable feature is the side decks that slope gently down from the bow to where they wrap smoothly around the twin helm stations - meaning you can walk up the side decks without ever having to step onto a seat cushion. Added to this there is the asymmetrical cockpit with its large winged table placed off-centre - creating a straight line passageway (and therefore much easier to move about) between the companionway and the swim platform.

As if all these great ideas were not enough, Jeanneau has even designed the boat's bed shapes: to be perfectly rectangular (just like at home) so that off-the-shelf bedding can be used - saving a fortune over the boat's lifetime. It is this attention to detail and affordability - coupled with her light, spacious and well laid out saloon that has made the 440 one of the most successful boats Jeanneau has ever sold.
