2008 model year J Boats J/122

There can be no argument that the J/122 is at the very top of the 40' class of true racer cruisers.
Offering highly competitive racing both inshore and offshore, this thoroughbred yacht can also be cruised with the family allowing for fast, safe and easy passage making.
With many of her sisterships being raced hard, this example of the J/122 stands out due to both her extensive inventory and her excellent overall condition above and below decks.

Having benefited from an extensive refit earlier in 2019 including re-rig, mast out and professionally serviced, new saildrive unit and propeller plus more, this J/122 is surely the best example currently offered for sale.

Thoroughbred racer/cruiser designed by Rod Johnstone and built by J Europe, France

CONSTRUCTION
GRP sandwich construction hull & deck are SCRIMP molded with e-glass and vinylester
resin with balsa and foam core materials respectively.
An extensive SCRIMP molded structural grid supports the keel and mast loads as well as the
interior components.
This infusion molding process insures the lightest and strongest molded parts and is far
superior to hand lay-up
Deck and superstructure in white GRP with grey non slip finish

In June 2019, the hull below the waterline was sanded back and given two coats of antifoul.
At the same tine, the keel was faired back with four coats of anti corrosive epoxy primer
applied.
