Overview

2001 Hallberg Rassy 36 Mark II - a well loved and great example of these robust sailing cruisers. 'Cantreyn' is in her second ownership since new with the current owners enjoying nearly twenty years of custodianship. Typical of the Hallberg Rassy design philosophy she is laid out with two cabins, a large aft cabin and a forward V berth, these are separated by the saloon which offers ample seating centrally with the galley and nav station behind. Benefitting from a centre cockpit which provides a very secure sailing position that is well protected by the windscreen and sprayhood. A traditional sloop rig with slab reefing main, a Volvo Penta engine, Raymarine electronics, heating, life raft plus dinghy and outboard make this a great option for a ready to go package.

Broker Comments

The Hallberg-Rassy 36 was built from 1989 until 2003, in total 602 hulls. 'Cantreyn' is hull number 533, a Mark II version which added the transom with integrated bathing platform. Overall, the exterior was adapted with a wider transom, side deck and slight increase in hull length. Internally this created more room, more lockers and wider berths in the aft cabin. A solidly built blue water cruiser, her first owner undertook some long passages including a transatlantic, the current owners have cruised more locally, sailing around the Southern UK and Northern France. What both will have enjoyed is a comfortable and safe yacht to sail and stay onboard from a renowned Scandinavian yard.
