Introducing "LOKI", a custom-built 46 footer, from the drawing board of Carkeek.
"LOKI" is a mid-sized, light displacement race boat, built in full carbon with a BRAND NEW mast installed in October 2024.
She has been designed and built to thrive in the stand-out 600 mile Yacht Races that dominate the global racing calendar, whilst also ensuring round the cans performance is not compromised.
Having immediately jumped to success taking 5 out of 6 podiums entered, she is ready for more of the same and is without question one of the most exciting sub-50 foot, offshore racers to be launched in a long time.
A turn key package - ready for anything and certainly has a sharp eye on the ORCi rating system.

"LOKI" is a mid-sized, light displacement race boat, built in full carbon with foam cores, designed to be competitive under both ORCi, IRC, PHRF and ORR.
She is appointed with twin wheels, single rudder blade and deep T fin bulb keel.

The mast, boom and rigging package are all courtesy of NZ Rigging, based in Auckland who have been involved with the boat from the start.
NEW MAST 2024 and soon to be installed.
LOKI sports a full carbon package, with twin spreader configuration and running backstays.
She has a high modulus section that is female moulded using pre-preg's to ensure the lightest and stiffest finish.

LOKI is fitted with a full compliment of locking halyards and single line halyards, all that is required for high-level offshore racing.
EC standing rigging and forestay are installed.
Mast configuration includes;
Mainsail - lock
2 x Masthead halyards - lock x 1
2 x Jib halyards - locks
1 x FRO halyard - lock
1 x staysail halyard - NO lock.
The mast is also fitted with a Ronstan external style mast track from extruded Alloy, allowing mainsail cars for offshore or the option of boltrope for inshore.
The boat is fitted with an internal mast jack for tuning.
The boom is built from paneled carbon/nomex construction so extremely lightweight and strong.
It is configured for two reefs with internal locks.
A spring loaded vang system is also supplied.
The boat is supplied with a full race running package and a few assorted spares/older hardware.
All sails from Evolution New Zealand, supplied Spring 2022 and used for only 5 regattas.

LOKI is a well appointed Grand Prix racer below decks, with 5 pipe cots each side (10 total)
She has a small mid-ships galley off to port and storage locker to stb.
There is a small heads located in front of the main saloon bulkhead.
Most interior areas are painted white on the bulkheads for additional light, but with carbon to floor and ceiling spaces to save weight.
A "proper" nav station is located underneath the cockpit sole, with seating, table, VHF, FFD display and main control switch panel.
A 19 inch B&G ZEUS touch screen plotter also installed with sat comms phone.

Motor: Volvo 50 HP Diesel w/ high output alternator
Fuel system:
2 - tank diesel system with when both full = 400 mile range at cruise
(Day tank = 10 hours running; Main tank gravity feeds to Day tank)
Batteries - Total of 3 w/ 2- House Batteries; 1- Motor start. - All Lead acid
Head - Toilet with macerator pump valving allows flow to holding tank or overboard.
The following items are onboard and included:
1) Emergency Tiller
2) Danforth anchor w/ chain lead and 100’ of anchor line
3) Volvo assorted spare engine parts
4) Harken assorted spare winch parts
5) Wood plugs available at each thru-hull opening
