Overview"Eeyore" - twice winner of the coveted Gold Roman Bowl, one of the largest yacht races on the planet, is now for sale.
Built in 1964, this Alacrity 18 bilge keeler has been transformed into a race winner by the extremely talented yacht designer, Jo Richards.
Total rebuild in 2018, with many similarities to a modern scow type hull, but with unique bilge keel arrangement has given her a complete lift in performance. Now eligible for many Classic events as well as standard IRC racing.
A great chance to own this giant killer!
"Eeyore" is based on an Alacrity 18, built in 1964, which has been completely restored and rebuilt, by current owner Jo Richards.
Rescued from the shadows of a power station in the Midlands, all that remains original of Eeyore is the hull moulds, with Jo optimizing and upgrading every single aspect of the boat, in order to achieve IRC greatness.
Now fitted with a carbon rig, twin custom bilge keels and a bang up to date sail inventory, this boat is the one to beat on IRC.
