Rig

SLOOP RIG WITH SELF TACKING FURLING GENOA
With its rig moved further aft, high aspect ratio mainsail, self-tacking jib, the option of having a code 0 and asymmetric spinnaker the 42 can adapt to all conditions and speeds, whether being sailed with a small or large crew.
This boat will predominately be sailed short-handed, with this in mind we have optioned a square-topped mainsail, furling self-tacking headsail.
The square-topped mainsail is easier to handle for the smaller size crews, it is high aspect ratio so better performance and comes with a smaller boom so easier to handle, the self-tacking headsail makes sail manoeuvres a breeze.
Other sail combinations are available and can be discussed with an individual customer in mind.

Accommodation

FOUR CABIN VERSION

SLEEPS 10 IN 4 DOUBLE CABINS WITH 4 EN-SUITE HEADS with comfort equipment configuration.
PLUS 1 Berth in port bow compartment & 1 Berth in starboard bow compartment.
ADDITIONAL Saloon table berth conversion
Standard Upholstery in Smart Shark, Alpi Walnut interior with Asburgo (light grey oak) floors.
12v fans in cabins and saloon.

In the last couple of years, the trend for the hotter countries has been to go for the Lighter interior but more recently the majority of customers has turned this thinking on its head and going for the Alpi Walnut interior with Aspurgo floors as this is easier on the eye after a long hot day in the sun, along with the cooler feeling material upholstery in the saloon and settee that has become the more popular choice.

This 42 has FOUR double cabins with en-suite bathrooms each with quiet flush electric toilets, showers, and sinks.
Under-bed sprung slats for comfort and to aid the airflow in the warmer climes.
The aft cabins comprise an island double bed, wardrobes and ample bookshelves. The bright, well-ventilated interior has large windows in the hull sides and facing aft, both with opening ports.
The fore cabin is equally generous: double bed again, with side access and good stowage, all bathed in light.
All cabins have USB sockets.

In the saloon of the Lagoon 42, functionality and ease of use is the watchword, a generous dining table capable of accommodating all the crew plus a few neighbors on 'L' shaped seating with a separate bench.

Stainless steel sink and ample stowage.
