Overview

Get on the water this summer at an extremely competitive price with a rare opportunity to own a brand new Lagoon 40 due from the factory July 2019 . This beautiful new design is already proving popular and with build slots filling up fast, this is a rare opportunity to own the latest in the Lagoon range. With an elevated helm, this fabulous vessel features a new open plan cockpit like that found on the popular Lagoon 42. Performance is enhanced with a tall rig and lighter subcomponents and the interior boasts generous sized cabins with semi-island beds. A self-tacking jib, shorter boom and optimised weight distribution makes manoeuvring simple, even when shorthanded. Rig

The sail area has been significantly increased in comparison with her predecessor, the 39, which in conjunction with some significant weight savings results in a much improved sailing performance in the lighter airs.

Situatating the mast at the centre of gravity of the boat reduces the pitching effect while creating enough space for a self-tacking genoa, so upwind sailing could not be easier.

The increased mast height of the 40 creates an impressive sail area to displacement ration of 4.17, similar to the Lagoon 42. Despite this the boom remains manageably short, which means it's easy to reef and to control in a gybe.

Accommodation

The 40 interior is based on her predecessor, the Lagoon 39, but with some key refinements. As we have come to expect from Lagoon the saloon and cabins employ plenty of timber to provide a really cosy feeling on board. The cabins are exceptionally spacious and well laid out. Headroom has been increased and careful use of LED mood lighting further improves the ambiance on board. The saloon / galley features a large front-opening fridge, an optional top-loading fridge or freezer and a sliding navigator’s seat to provide extra seating around the dining table. A classic Lagoon feature, the galley faces aft to the cockpit for practical and social living.
