Beneteau Sail Oceanis Yacht 54

Capitalizing on experience gained with the enormously popular Oceanis range, as well as the trend setting First Yacht 53, her architects, Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento have created a masterpiece that seamlessly blends form and function into a yacht that is exhilarating under sail, easy to manage shorthand and comfortable and luxurious at sea and in port. This brand new yacht paves the way for a new generation of cruisers by completely reinventing the traditional central cockpit into a space that allows for free flowing movement, ample seating areas and safety.

With a straight stem allowing for new interior volumes in the bow area and a maximum beam (5 m) carried further aft, the Oceanis Yacht 54 offers a state-of-the-art, perfectly balanced hull that maximizes thrills in all conditions. Movement on deck was given special attention, particularly around the cockpit which modernizes the traditional center cockpit design into a flush layout with distinct areas dedicated to lounging and sailing. Aptly drawn coamings and high bulwarks provide increased safety while transiting to the foredeck, and access to the sea is provided by the spacious swim platform, which, when deployed, reveals the space below the cockpit to store an eight-foot inflatable tender.

Key Features

Safe and easy sailing

To make harbour manoeuvres, changes of tack and points of sailing simpler, BENETEAU has equipped the Oceanis Yacht 54 with invaluable navigational aids. Ship Control is installed as standard. It provides user-friendly intuitive control of all the boat data (batteries, tanks, engines, lighting, etc.) The Dock & Go technique, which has been well tested, is also available to facilitate engine-powered manoeuvres in a limited space, using a standard joystick control together with a bow drive and a 360° rotating saildrive pod. The Harken AST (assisted sail trim) system trims the sails automatically in line with the apparent wind and trims the jib when you need to change tack. The AST system is controlled from a display in the cockpit. Short-handed sailing is an inherent part of the cruiser’s programme.

Great ease of movement

The flush cockpit, makes movement aft of the helm stations, to the gangways or to the companionway, easy and obstacle-free. A wonderful development of the traditional central cockpit, this extensive space makes it easy to move to the large swim platform safely and confidently. Cruising really comes into its own on the Oceanis Yacht 54, with all the manoeuvres brought aft of the cockpit, leaving space for relaxation and admiring the view from the twin helm station to the bow. The sun pad on the fore deck is likely to be the most popular spot.

Exclusive trim and materials

With a notable focus on the level of trim, the Oceanis Yacht 54 has premium upholstery, wood linings, fiddles, with good ventilation and natural light, making her a real cruising yacht fitted with a large chart table and saloon table seating six guests with ease. The owner will be able to choose between a light oak or walnut interior, and two different layouts: three cabins with two shower rooms or three cabins with three shower rooms. With a comfortable, modern, user-friendly interior bathed in light from the many portholes and hatches, offering an incredible view of the sea, they will feel completely at one with their boat, whatever their choice.
