About Moody Yachts
Originating from the banks of the River Hamble in Swanwick, the original Moody shipyard was founded by John Moody in 1827. For over 70 years, Moody yachts were built on the South Coast of the UK before Hanse Yachts Group acquired the company in 2007 and relocated production to Greifswald in Germany. Combining a strong British heritage with German precision and efficiency, Moody Yachts blends classic and modern boat designs to create award-winning sailing yachts that are popular for long-distance bluewater cruising.
Moody Yachts Range
The most recent models in the Moody Yachts range include the DS 41, DS 48 and DS54, which boast a bright, airy saloon at deck level with panoramic views. Older and more classical Moody Yachts, such as the Moody 42, Moody 44, Moody 346, and Moody 376, feature a signature Bill Dixon design that lends itself well to long-distance cruising in comfort with deep drafts, wide beams, a protective centre cockpit and cosy interiors.
