Skilled Laminator / GRP Technician
(Gel Repair & Colour Matching Specialist)
We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Laminator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, detail-focused professional with strong gel repair and colour matching expertise to work on high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out GRP lamination to a high standard, including cosmetic and structural repairs
- Performing gel coat repairs
- Accurate colour matching and refinishing to deliver seamless, high-quality finishes
- Preparing surfaces and materials correctly prior to repair or lamination
- Working from drawings, specifications, or repair instructions
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a laminator in GRP/fibreglass work
- Strong gel repair and advanced colour matching skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
Desirable:
- Marine GRP experience, and working knowledge of epoxy systems (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with GRP repairs and refinishing
- Relevant qualifications or training in composites or GRP (preferred but not essential)
