‘Monocle’ Oceanis 45 Modification
CASE STUDY
We have recently modified ‘Monocle,’ a 4-year-old Beneteau Oceanis 45 yacht whose owners wanted to improve access both onto the boat and within the master forward cabin. To achieve this, we altered the transom and made interior modifications to make life onboard more comfortable.
Deck Modifications
Our boatbuilders are well-equipped to make GRP modifications to deck layouts and lay new teak. So, to improve access onto the boat, we added an extra step to the transom of the boat. This allows the owners and their guests to board the yacht with ease and in a safe way.
Interior Modifications
From built-in storage solutions, bespoke joinery, interior redesigns and galley refits, our experienced boatbuilders are experienced in transforming yacht interiors. The forward cabin was converted from a standard double to a v-shaped berth, with an additional step over the bow thruster, and the existing heads door was replaced with a bi-folding entrance to fit the new configuration.
Yacht Care
While the boat was out of the water, our professional yacht care team serviced the rudder bearings and seacocks, and replaced the anodes. This is familiar work for our team who can also carry out annual servicing, pre-season preparation, and regular yacht maintenance services.
“AYS completed the project in the timeline set out, with good communications throughout and were particularly good at listening to our very specific and not common requirements.”
