Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics Partners with World Cruising Club

Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics – part of the Ancasta Group – is now the Preferred Rigging Supplier to World Cruising Club, the organisers behind some of the world’s most iconic offshore sailing rallies, including the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers).
As a Preferred Supplier, our expert riggers will provide support to World Cruising Club members and the wider bluewater sailing community.
Offshore passages demand a level of rig reliability and performance that goes far beyond coastal cruising, and we’re here to help sailors prepare with confidence.
Managing Director, Neil Brinsdon, has worked closely with ARC participants for many years, so this partnership is a natural step. As Neil puts it:
“Having been an advisor to ARC and other rally participants for many years, becoming World Cruising Club’s Preferred Supplier for rigging is a unique endorsement of our expertise. Offshore sailing places far greater strain on a yacht’s rig than coastal cruising, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with club members to ensure their voyages are both safe and enjoyable – wherever their adventures take them.”
With over 35 years of rigging expertise, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics offers a full range of services from the manufacture, installation, and repair of standing and running rigging, as well as the supply of furling boom systems.
The team also works with some of the most respected brands in the industry – including Reckmann, Hayn Marine, BSI, OYS, Sta-Lok, Gottifredi Maffioli, Mainfurl, Axxon and Future Fibres – to provide everything from aluminium and carbon mast supply and repairs, to rig dressing and mast stepping with on‑site crane support.
Paul Tetlow, Managing Director of World Cruising Club, shared his thoughts on the new collaboration:
“The collaboration with Advanced Rigging and Hydraulics underscores World Cruising Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting our rally participants with world-class technical expertise and practical service, equipping them for their next offshore sailing adventure. With decades of experience, Advanced Rigging and Hydraulics offers specialist insight into how to specify, service, and maintain a yacht’s rig for safety, reliability, and optimal performance, which should be key priorities for any sailor.”
World Cruising Club rallies attract over 450 boats and more than 1,200 sailors from 40+ nationalities each year. From the ARC and ARC+ to ARC Europe and the World ARC, these rallies help sailors realise their offshore cruising dreams.
Alongside the rallies, the club also runs training seminars and boat show Q&A sessions to support ocean voyagers with essential preparation and planning.
To celebrate the partnership, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics will host a launch event on Saturday 20 September at 16:00 on our stand (H010) at the Southampton International Boat Show. All World Cruising Club members and Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics customers are warmly invited to join us.
We can’t wait to see you there – and to help you get rig-ready for your next bluewater cruising adventure.
