Over two years in development and announced last September, the M48, the first model in a brand new range of powercats from Prestige Yachts, will be unveiled at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (6 – 11 September 2022). The Prestige M-Line fulfils today’s demand for more space, stability and improved fuel consumption.

Developed by Camilo Garroni, the historical designer of the Prestige range, with hulls designed by Philippe Briand, the M48 was designed completely from scratch, (it’s standard for powercat builders to adapt an existing sailing cat hull). Camilo’s involvement ensures it reflects and compliments the heritage of the existing Prestige motoryacht range and results in a powercat which is 100% powerboat without any of the constraints inherent to sailboats.

Comfort and space have become top priorities for today's boat owners; as a result, sales of power and sail multihulls have reached unprecedented levels in the last few years. With a volume equivalent to that of a 60-foot motor yacht, the M48 definitely delivers on that front. The expansive aft cockpit, aft swim platform and flybridge ensure no shortage of space to enjoy the sun with family and friends. Utilising the space between the hulls allows Prestige to fully maximise volume in the interior which incorporates a vast saloon area, owner and guest suites. Add to that 360-degree views from the saloon and outward-facing guest beds with panoramic hull windows, breathtaking sea views are guaranteed.

To answer the demands for greater stability and improved fuel efficiency, the performance of the M48 is optimised for cruising speeds of between 8 and 18 knots, with propulsion provided by 2 x 320 HP engines. Cruising ranges between 600 and 250 nautical miles immediately extend your cruising areas. The two hulls offer exceptional stability, enabling the M48 to go without stabilisers, further reducing weight and fuel consumption while improving performance. With less fuel consumption than that of a motor yacht of the same proportions, this is good news for your wallet and the planet.

Prestige has risen to the challenge by providing an elegant exterior line with a vast interior volume whilst remaining faithful to the understated luxury for which the brand is renowned. M-Line is shaping up to be a fantastic addition to the Prestige range.
