Travel Details for Boot Düsseldorf
Guide to Dusseldorf and the Boot Düsseldorf Boat Show.
If you book an appointment with Ancasta at the show, we’ll arrange your show tickets for you.
As for the venue itself: during the major trade fairs, it transforms into a small city, offering every service and convenience you could need. Whether you’re looking for a pharmacy, a last-minute souvenir, currency exchange, or secure luggage storage, it’s all available on site and easy to access.
Düsseldorf means “fascination of variety”. A mix of Rhinish charm and sophisticated elegance makes the city irresistible. Thus, it is no wonder that Düsseldorf has repeatedly been elected one of the cities with best quality of life worldwide. Why not combine a visit to the show with exploring what Düsseldorf has to offer!
The city has a large variety of restaurants and bars. You can find over 200 gastronomic highlights from nobel to simple dishes from African to Vietnamese, from a gourmet restaurant to a bistro. Düsseldorf is one of the most elegant shopping metropolises worldwide, with its exclusive Königsallee, a splendid boulevard featuring luxury shopping malls and flagship stores, and Schadowstraße, the shopping street achieving the highest turnover in Germany. And last but not least, the trendy boutiques of the Altstadt. This is shopping at its best!
Flying to Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf Airport, which is Germany’s third largest airport, is located just outside the city and only ten minutes from the show grounds. With more than two hundred nonstop destinations worldwide and around seventy international airlines operating there, it offers fast and direct connections from most UK airports. The distance from London is approximately two hundred and seventy eight miles, and the average flight time is around one hour.
By Train to Dusseldorf
Travelling by train brings you straight into the heart of the city. Around 1,000 long-distance services connect Düsseldorf every day with major destinations across Germany and neighbouring countries. From the main station, it’s only a short journey to the trade fair: simply take subway line 78 or 79, both of which stop directly at the Messe Düsseldorf entrance. If you already have your admission ticket, your travel on these routes is even free of charge.
By Car to Dusseldorf
The easiest route to the trade fair is via the A44 motorway, which has a dedicated exit for Messe Düsseldorf. You can also reach the venue by taking the B326 through the city along the Rhine. With around 20,000 parking spaces available and a free shuttle service running directly to the exhibition hall entrances, access is straightforward and convenient.
If you’re travelling by car, please be aware that Düsseldorf’s environmental zone was expanded in February 2013. Only vehicles displaying a green emissions sticker are permitted to enter this area. The Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds, parking areas, and the A44 motorway leading to the fair all remain outside the restricted zone.
Taxi to Messe
Some 1,400 taxis in the city will gladly take you to the trade fair. From 150 taxi stands.
