Cowes Week 2017
29 July - 5 August 2017
Over 8,500 sailors and 100,000 spectators will descend upon the Isle of Wight once again this summer for the biggest UK sailing regatta of the year, Cowes Week. This world renowned regatta sees over 40 sailing races run every single day and a huge variety of yachts taking part. We look forward to seeing a good number of Ancasta boats competing, including those in the Fast 40+ Class, IRC 1 and the Beneteau 40.7 Class to mention just a few.
A new event for the regatta is the Triple Crown, which will see the world’s largest and most glamorous yachts compete over three days for some of the most prestigious Cups in sailing history – the King George V International Cup, the RYS King’s Cup and the Queen’s Cup. Seeing these magnificent boats sailing in close proximity in the Solent should make for an impressive sight.
Social highlights for the week include Family Day, Ladies Day, a Red Arrows display and lots of entertainment across four main venues within the town including live music, children’s activities, market stalls and an abundance of food and drink to enjoy.
