Ta Chiao 56 CT | 1992
The Ta Chiao 56 CT is a meticulously crafted, heavy-displacement center-cockpit ketch, designed for safe and comfortable long-distance cruising. Built by the esteemed Ta Chiao Shipyard in Taiwan, she combines timeless classic lines with robust construction, generous interior volume, and elegant teak joinery.
Comprehensively refitted in 2020, she features upgraded systems and refreshed interior finishes, presenting today in excellent condition and fully prepared for bluewater adventures.
Her layout includes a spacious full-beam aft owner’s cabin with ensuite, two forward double guest cabins sharing a large head with shower, a bright and inviting main saloon, and a well-equipped U-shaped galley, perfect for extended cruising. The secure center cockpit, wide side decks, and versatile ketch rig ensure safe and manageable handling in all conditions.

The CT 56 offers a spacious and practical interior layout, ideally suited for extended cruising or comfortable liveaboard life.
The craftsmanship throughout features beautifully varnished teak joinery, generous natural light, and excellent headroom.
Main Saloon
Amidships, the main saloon offers a U-shaped settee and dining table to port, with an additional settee or storage area to starboard.
Warm teak finishes, overhead hatches, and opening ports provide a light, inviting atmosphere and excellent ventilation.
Owner’s Cabin (Aft)
The full-beam owner’s stateroom features a queen-sized island berth, abundant wardrobe and locker storage, and a comfortable seating area.
A private ensuite head with a separate shower is accessed directly from the cabin. The stateroom is reached via a dedicated companionway from the saloon, ensuring maximum privacy.
Galley
Located adjacent to the companionway and designed for safe, practical use at sea, the U-shaped galley is well-equipped with deep stainless-steel sinks, gimballed stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and ample countertop and locker space.
A dining table positioned to starboard next to the galley offers convenient mealtime seating. The galley is easily accessible from both the cockpit and saloon.
Guest Cabins (Forward)
Forward accommodation includes two double guest cabins:
Port cabin with a comfortable double berth
Forepeak cabin with a double berth
Both share a spacious forward head with a large separate shower compartment.
