IMOCA 60 Emira, known as "Canada Ocean Racing" is now for sale.
This brilliantly prepared IMOCA 60 is without question one of the most refined pre-foiling boats and her full update in 2019 brought the boat bang up to speed with the latest IMOCA rule. Further updated from there under skipper Scott Shawyer, she has been continually pushed and optimized for solo and double handed racing, whilst the older, more open cockpit design also marries perfectly with fully crewed Ocean Race type events also.
A superb turn-key option for someone wanting to enter the IMOCA World, whilst maintaining a more modest running budget.
Layout
"EMIRA 1" is a Class compliant IMOCA 60 and a brilliant candidate for the Vendee Globe 2028.
Built in 2011 as "Acciona", she has proven a successful and reliable platform from the design house of Owen Clarke, who had designed no less than 7 IMOCA's before this one, utilizing all the learnings that went before.
A full overhaul in 2019 revolutionized the boat and brought her up to latest specs, most notably her new OD wing mast and deck spreaders, as well as new water ballast system and full systems overhaul to name but few.
Widely regarded as one of the fastest non-foiling boats, she has a huge amount to offer and it should not be underestimated how much time, money and effort has gone into getting the boat to where she is today.
Given she won the 2021 Ocean Race Europe, its clear she is a stand out choice in this IMOCA market.
