Overview

Hylas 44 is an elegant centre cockpit blue water sailing sloop and arguably their most successful model. She was extensively upgraded when the current owners purchased her in 2014 including new Furuno electronics , bow thruster, sat phone, wind generator, watermaker and new standing rigging, ready for their trip to the Caribbean. Now they have returned to the UK after their 5 year adventure and “Gloria” lived up to all their expectations.

Hylas 44 an elegant centre cockpit sloop designed by German Frers and built in 1991 by Queen Long Marine in Taiwan.

CONSTRUCTION
Blue sprayed GRP hull, white GRP deck and superstructure.
Full professional hull respray in October 2020
Teak deck. Decks refurbished, re-screwed and caulked in 2015
Long fin keel with full length skeg hung rudder.
Centre cockpit with teak laid seats & sole.

Accommodation

The interior of the yacht is designed to accommodate two couples in considerable comfort in two en-suite cabins at each end of the yacht. Further occasional berths are available in the saloon.
