Teack deck from 2018, standing rigging from 2019, Webasto Marine Air conditioner , cabin air heating, SIMPSONS electric aft davit, solar panels..
The Hallberg-Rassy 53 was the pinnacle of Bluewater passage making yachts in her day and as hull designs have evolved the Hallberg-Rassy 53's characteristics and quality of build remain unrivalled for comfort and ease of management under sail. The Hallberg-Rassy 53 was designed from the outset for push-button sailing and her fully hydraulic powered furling rig can be set reefed and furled away without leaving the helm position.
Hull number 41 of the 88 Hallberg-Rassy 53s built and as such is one of the rare examples available of this exceptional sailing yacht.
Currently on the ashore for winter in south of France where she is available to view, she is EU VAT paid and should be of particular interest to anyone looking for an adventurous sailing yacht that is comfortable to spend time aboard on passage in harbour and at anchor.

Broker Comments

Yachting World, February 1994 sum up like this: "Overall the Hallberg-Rassy 53 is a genuine go-anywhere boat which could be lived on for extended periods of time permanently. With these purposes in mind, she is a difficult boat to beat." Yacht Premiere: "Designed by Germán Frers, it combines modern styling and a performance hull but still retains that timeless elegance that is the hallmark of the range, while down below it provides the space and comfort of a luxury floating home. The interior is finished in glowing rich red mahogany, again a Hallberg-Rassy trademark, one of which they are justly proud. Satin finished, smooth, rounded, warm to the touch and soothing to the eye, the interiors of these boats are superb. The layout is designed to allow unimpeded access from bow to stern, in a smooth line with no obstructions. The saloon table has superbly radiussed fiddles that fades away in the corners. The engine room is a full-height, walk-in compartment, with ample room to work around the six-cylinder engine. Also in here is the generator, with room for a water-maker if required, and easy access to all systems. Perforated aluminium linings cover the sound insulation, adding to the high quality feel of the installation."
