£10,000 REDUCTION!

A few big names vie for the crown of ultimate blue water cruiser (Hallberg Rassy, Oyster and Swan to name but a few). But talk to the boatyards across the country (ie the guys who have to work on them) and it comes down to only one choice for build quality - the Contest......and this third owner, 1985 48S sits right at the pinnacle of this special brand. With her balsa cored hull (right down to the keel) - making her quiet at sea, as well as virtually impervious to the internal condensation of her competition; her deck-stepped mast (the others were just keel stepped at the time); her bullet-proof rigging and the quality of her joinery this, surely, is the boat to choose for that ultimate trip across the Atlantic or around the world.

Sadly the current owner's cruising dreams have been cut short through ill health, even though he has spent c£40k on her in the past 3 years getting her ready for such a trip. So now the baton must pass to another. Are you the one to set her free to roam earth's oceans with you as her owner and guide?

Contact / email me on 07787 50 60 90 or if you would like more information or photos of Star Hunter - or indeed if you want to organise a viewing down here in Poole.
