Overview

Swift Trawler's of this calibre rarely come to market. Originally purchased for the London Olympics, this 42 was purchased by her current owners in 2019 and thoughtfully equipped for a "Grand Loop" voyage, with many upgrades. "Sointu" has now been returned to the Finish lakes and winters ashore in a heated shed, prior to being prepared and serviced each season. Her Finish registration, which is Type A Open Ocean, requires an annual inspection with a hull inspection every third year. She really is ready for the season as a go anywhere boat.

The 2019 refit included the addition of a Fisher Panda 5000 neo Genset, along with two solar panels, A/C to the owners cabin, lithium batteries, new Mastervolt chargers and inverter including regulators for alternators, new VHF, WiFi repeater and both European and USA GSM routers, a freezer, grey water tank and second black water tanks were added in addition to extensive safety kit .

With an extensive, heavily upgraded inventory, she has been well maintained, regularly valeted and fully serviced.

Accommodation

Fully equipped for blue water cruising, the flybridge of the Swift Trawler 42 has a convertible saloon to seat 6, and a generous coachroof sunbathing platform. Access to the wheelhouse is superb, with doors to both side decks, as well as accessing the saloon through the cockpit, providing remarkable ease of movement and easy short handed manoeuvring.

Two large, comfortable and spacious double cabins can accommodate 4 people in comfort for long cruises. Enjoy cruising with total peace of mind, easier mooring, safe access to the flybridge and bathing platform, combined with plenty of stowage lockers. The Swift Trawler 42 has generous proportions, a hull designed to take everything the sea has to offer and a lot of live aboard space:

Large spacious double owners cabin forward with queen sized bed and en-suite heads with an electric quiet flush toilet and shower. There is adequate locker space for live aboard cruising including a large hanging locker to starboard.

Day head to port with an electric quiet flush toilet, shower and wash basin.

Guest cabin is fitted with a good sized double bed and locker space.

The pilot house is next with the galley to port and helm area to starboard. Access to the wide side decks is made through two sliding doors, port and starboard, which is particularly helpful when berthing the boat short handed and giving the helmsman a quick gateway to help with the lines.

The galley is fitted with a three burner gas hob, 130 ltr 12v electric refrigerator, gas oven and grill and double sinks + microwave

The main saloon has a seating area to starboard and a dining table which is not fixed to the floor but does have an adjustable leg. This saloon seating area can also be converted into a double berth by using the fill in piece which is stowed outboard of the seating area. There is an abundance of locker space and a space for flat screen TV to port with aerial and power connection points.

Access to the very spacious cockpit is through a glass sliding doors. Deep, secure side decks further enhance ease of movement onboard.
