Overview

The Lagoon 42 is simple to sail with plenty of real estate both above and below deck, making it perfect for couples or families.

The VPLP design boasts an elegant silhouette with flowing curves, underway her noticeable acceleration makes for an exciting ride under sail. This, plus the really useable coachroof design which keeps the cockpit connected to the helm area, make her a really liveable yacht. As powerful as she is dynamic, the excellent performance under sail, combines with the incredible space and "liveability", the 42 is one of the best selling catamarans of all time, for good reason.

Accommodation

Designed by Nauta, this Lagoon 42 has the impressive 3 double cabins layout, with en-suite bathrooms.

The sumptuous and spacious owners hull is to starboard, with the aft cabin fitted with an island double bed, wardrobes and ample bookshelves. The bright, well-ventilated interior has large windows in the hull sides and facing aft, both with opening ports. Storage furniture has been chosen in owner's cabin in lieu of the standard sofa, to add to the already cavernous storage throughout the boat. Forward is a vast private head and shower, with separate shower stall. Privacy for the starboard hull is completed with a sliding door which serves as a library.

In the port hull, the aft cabin has a fabulous bathing area with a separate walk-in shower. The forecabin has equally generous double berth again, with side access and good stowage, all bathed in light.

In the saloon of the new 42, functionality is the watchword: a generous dining table capable of accommodating all the crew plus a few neighbours, a large chart table and a fully-equipped galley to starboard with hob, oven, stainless steel sink and ample stowage. The starboard galley faces outboard to the cockpit, with several worktops and excellent refrigeration including a top opening Freezer (12V/100L) and an additional cockpit 144 litres two drawer fridge. A locker has been added with prefitting for microwave, there is even room for a washing machine in the owners hull wardrobe.

All in all, the Lagoon 42 is supremely well appointed, whether for live-aboard or family cruising, there is plenty of well thought out space for all. Indeed a 7.7m beam is larger than that of many 32 meter superyachts, the volume is simply incredible!
