OverviewAn extremely capable 30 ft steel long keel “Brabant” sloop, designed by Alan Buchanan and built by Howdens Shipyard at Goole in 1964. Pipedream is a seriously capable vessel set up for long distance cruising. The current owner completed a two year single handed North Atlantic circuit in July 2017 with the previous owner also completing a North Atlantic circuit. “Pipedream” is an outstanding sea boat with a proven track record and is now looking for a new owner to continue her adventure.

Hull plating between keel and waterline renewed - All seams welded by Lloyds coded welder. New plate grit plasted to white metal
Epoxy coated - skimmed with epoxy and filler to give minimum of 1mm coating over all weld caps
Hull insulated with 25mm Celotex tiles and lined with 3mm ply on battens attached to the frames
Cockpit replaced and shortened (lengthened cabin and aft end raised to give full standing headroom)

RigThe mast is deck stepped and all halyards are external with a spare for each in addition to signal halyards.
When not in use a whisker pole is permanently rigged on a short track on the mast and clips to a ring on the stem head thus forming a secure hand hold and lifeline clip-on.
The Genoa is stowed on a roller furler.
The main is slab reefed in lazyjacks, having three reefs external to the boom.

AccommodationSLEEPS 4 IN 2 CABINS
The accommodation comprises a 2 berth forward cabin with a removable centre infill.
Aft of that is a heads compartment to port with Lavac sea toilet, and a hanging locker to starboard.
Going aft again is the 2 berth main cabin with a drop leaf table that seats four. Food stowage is under the bunks and there are shelves for clothes stowage behind the settee backs with shelves and lockers above.
The forward bulkhead is taken up with trotter boxes each side with one drawer and a shelf over each and bookshelves above.
Aft of the bunks and in the same compartment is the galley to port and the chart table to starboard.
The chart table takes a full size Admiralty chart folded once and has stowage in a drawer beneath the navigation area. Beneath the chart table is a compartment for two batteries the wind generator / solar cell regulator and 240V inverter. Outboard of the batteries is a space for tools and spares.
The galley has a two burner Plastimo Pacific 2500 (2011) gas cooker including oven, with pan stowage outboard of that and a two bowl sink. Crockery is stowed in shelves above the work surface and vegetables in trays beneath.
