Motorboat Cruise to Saint Vaast

The Ancasta Motorboat Club is pleased to announce the first of its 2018 event dates and this is one NOT to be missed.

With the aim of creating a series of well supported and fun events for Motorboat owners, the destination for this event is Saint Vaast on the North Coast of France. A famous fishing and sailing port, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue is also an oyster farming centre and a seaside resort benefiting from a mild and pleasant climate. There is lots to do in the area and we plan to break up the cruise with one night in Cherbourg en route to Saint Vaast.

The itinerary at this stage is as follows:
Friday 25th May:
Arrive at Lymington Yacht Haven – anytime from 1200 onwards
Welcome drink and skippers briefing locally with our lead boat skipper Karl Fisher

Saturday 26th May:
Departure the Yacht Haven for the 60 mile crossing to Cherbourg
Much needed, arrival drinks on the pontoon in Cherbourg.
Free evening to enjoy the local atmosphere, bars and restaurants

Sunday 28th May:
Short 25 mile cruise from Cherbourg to Saint Vaast for a relaxing afternoon.
Skipper briefing and Cruise supper in a local restaurant

Monday 29th May:
Early muster and departure from Saint Vaast for the return cruise to the Western Solent – ETA: tbc

There will be a skippered Ancasta lead boat to help with passage planning, berthing and local information. Navigational briefings will be given ahead of each leg where required. The Cruise is open to anyone so long as your boat has a safe range of 100 miles and is comfortable at 20 knts (contact us if not as alternative plans can be made).

Ancasta will secure berthing, however the cost of berthing, fuel, food and drink are the responsibility of each boat. A fee of £200 per boat and full boat and crew details are required to secure your place
