Oyster 461 | 1994
Step aboard this beautifully maintained Oyster 461, a proven bluewater cruiser designed by Holman And Pye and built to an Oyster craftsmans exacting standards in the UK.
Although she was originally cast in 1994,she sat unfinished in a warehouse until 2000 when the bare hull was purchased by the previous owners.
A former Oyster craftsman spent 4 years bringing her to life and she was finally launched for the first time in April 2004.
In her third ownership from new, she has been beautifully maintained and offers exceptional comfort, seaworthiness and style for extended offshore sailing or luxurious coastal cruising.
Timeless Oyster Craftsmanship
From the hand-crafted teak joinery to the solid wood cabinetry and curved detailing, every inch reflects Oyster’s commitment to quality. The interior exudes a warmth and elegance rarely found in modern yachts.
Bright, Airy, and Liveable
The signature Oyster seascape windows flood the saloon with natural light and provide stunning panoramic views, making her feel more like a floating home than a traditional yacht.
Owner’s Aft Cabin Retreat
The full-beam aft stateroom is a sanctuary at sea, complete with private ensuite, excellent ventilation, and generous storage. It’s the perfect space to relax after a long passage.
Safe and Seaworthy Deck Layout
Deep cockpit coamings, wide side decks, and solid handholds make her safe to move around in rough weather. All lines lead aft, making her manageable for a couple or solo sailor.
Turnkey and Thoughtfully Equipped
With Hood in-mast furling, electric winches, a reliable Perkins M92 engine, and modern navigation gear, she’s ready to sail away today — no major upgrades required.
Understated Elegance
Her classic lines, graceful proportions and Oyster hull ensure she turns heads in every anchorage — not with flash, but with quiet authority.
Long-Distance Proven
Whether you're dreaming of the Med, Caribbean, or beyond, this model has a proven track record of successful circumnavigations and long-range cruising — with many safely completing world voyages.
Bespoke Construction
A former Oyster craftsman spending 4 years bringing her bare hull to life making her an incedibly rare find.
A Boat That Inspires Confidence
Oyster owners are a loyal group, and it’s no wonder: these yachts are built to protect and perform. The 461 is that perfect mid-range model — not too large, not too small — that feels just right at sea or at anchor.
This is a yacht that thrives offshore. She’s ready — not just for weekends, but for circumnavigations. She’s got the pedigree, the systems, and the heart to cross oceans.
