Hallberg Rassy Hallberg Rassy 42F MK 11 For Sale | 1997
The Hallberg-Rassy 42F Mk II, introduced in 1994, is a renowned Swedish cruising yacht designed by Germán Frers. A total of 181 units were built until 2001, with 128 of those being the Mk II version.
Frers achieved a perfect balance between the Hallberg Rassy traditions (comfort, safety at all times, smoothness of movement, course stability) and the new demands for greater performance
The primary distinction between the Mk I and Mk II is the transom design; the Mk II features a transom with a built-in swim platform, enhancing functionality and aesthetics
The 42F Mk II is celebrated for its seaworthiness and performance, making it a popular choice among sailing enthusiasts.
Its design emphasizes safety and comfort, with a focus on practical functionality over racing aesthetics.
Below deck, step into a world of warm mahogany, smart design, and hand-built quality. A generous owner's cabin aft, a well-appointed galley, and a spacious saloon make this yacht as comfortable as it is capable.
'Thalassa' is beautifully presented, very well equipped and is a gorgeous example in our opinion of these renowned all-round performance cruisers. In 2024, she underwent a serious rebuild programme and had all new Rig including Mast and Rigging, Backstay rebuild in Harlingham, Electric forestay motor and Fitted piston in boom.
It’s the kind of yacht that earns a nod in every marina — and offers you a glass-calm night’s sleep at anchor.
Viewing is highly recommended
