X-YACHTS X6 for sale:
BIGMARU was built for the current owner as an upgrade and replacement to his X-50’.
He planned the yacht to be for family sailing and to use in the Mediterranean, in the Atlantic (from his home port in the Canary Isles) and the Caribbean. The yacht is set up to be easily handled and yet still offer good fast, fun sailing. The X-6 is a capable blue water yacht and BIG MARU has “all the extras”.

X Yachts are built with an “in-depth” understanding of the elements which make a yacht sail well.
The X6 is a bold design - a muscular, small superyacht with powerful lines. She has a mixture of finishes including bare teak, clear coat carbon, stainless steel and walnut, all modern, light and fresh looking.

Her smart, well thought out deck design makes this powerful yacht a calm yacht to sail with sheets that disappear below deck and reappear at two Harken 980’s behind the cockpit. The furlers for the staysail, genoa and Code O are all under the deck and the cutter rig provides versatility.

CONSTRUCTION
Composite construction, moulded in a female tooling. Vacuum infused, post cured epoxy construction.
The hull is full sandwich construction, using foam core, biaxial E-glass skins and local carbon fibre reinforcements. Solid monolithic laminate is used in areas around the keel structure, rudder stock bearings (two), around each through hull fitting, stern seal, P-bracket and thrusters.
The keel structure consists of a hot galvanized, high strength steel frame which forms an integral part of the hull structure.

Hull colour is “pure white” gelcoat with “iron grey” stripes at water-line.
Sleek lines and uncluttered deck with flush hatches

Deck:
The deck is a hand lay-up, full sandwich construction. The foam provides strength and insulation.
The deck uses a polyester resin system and the skins are mainly biaxial E-glass layers with local carbon fibre reinforcement. In load bearing areas such as, under deck fittings, either plywood or aluminium replaces the foam core.
The deck features 4 flush deck hatches forward of the mast providing plentiful light to the forward cabins. 3 flush hatches are fitted on the centreline of the coachroof over the saloon. The coachroof does also carry the optional flush mounted solar panels.

Vacuum applied laid teak on side decks, , plus all seating, cockpit sole and the inside of the transom door/swim platform. Plus as extra the coach roof is also covered with teak.
Teak is nominal 9mm thick when new.

She has the standard keel, which is a cast iron fin with lead T bulb. 3.0m draft (light ship).
Ballast weight of approx 10600kg (23,400 lbs).
The keel is encapsulated in 3 layers of GRP and faired to keel section templates.
Keel is bolted to the structural steel frame with s/s bolts and faired with epoxy filler.

Twin rudders, rudder blades of sandwich GRP. 2 x composite pedestals.
2 x 110cm composite wheels in black.
Steering cables are linked to large quadrants on each rudder stock.

SLEEPS UP TO EIGHT GUESTS IN THREE CABINS PLUS SALOON
The modern, minimalistic lines of the X-6 provide a sleek profile and clean deck, panoramic interior views and seamless movement between the salon and cockpit.

The master cabin forward has over 7’ headroom, housing a large central double berth, with storage under, bedside tables and a dressing table on port side with an integrated seat.

The en-suite bathroom with a separate shower has a Tecma electric toilet / bidet, Corian hand basin and white countertops.

The guest cabins aft to port and starboard, have double berths with storage under, a large hanging locker with shelves and drawers. Berths fitted with Lee cloths.
Shared aft heads to starboard with Tecma electric toilet with integrated bidet, Corian hand basin and white countertops, cupboard and mirror.
Separate shower compartment. Starboard aft cabin has en-suite access.

The saloon has phenomenal light and views thanks to its large panoramic windows.
The large U-shaped sofa to port surrounds the table which can be adjusted electrically to form a double berth. Seating to starboard and plenty of storage space.
Bulkhead recessed shelves for books etc with integrated ambient LED lighting.
The forward-facing navigation station is located aft to starboard and has a large chart table.
