Build

SCORPION STING cabin 10M RIB BUILT IN 2008
High Performance Offshore RIB built by Scorpion in Lymington, UK.
She has had a complete factory overhaul, including a full and detailed engine inspection in 2018

CONSTRUCTION:
Scorpion proprietary designed deep V hull incorporating full-length longitudinal stringers and under deck fuel tank. Vinyl ester gel and resin throughout; for improved resistance to osmosis, UV and heat distortion.
Scorpion deck and top mouldings with vinyl ester gel and resin throughout. Deck stiffening by means of class leading structural polymer foam.
Hull and deck manufacture by class leading resin infusion process, ensuring exacting resin/glass fibre ratios whilst eliminating the risks of dry laminate associated with traditional hand manufactured boats.
Scorpion hand-crafted two tone tubes in Arctic grey and Vesuvius red and 3 compartments per side.
Tubes manufactured by Scorpion in Pennel Orca pentalaminate material, for industry leading abrasion, chemical and UV resistance. Seven independent chambers, grey teardrop rubbing strake, six grab handles and sculpted bow fairlead.

Accommodation

The cabin is superbly fitted with a galley to port which comprises of a chest fridge and a sink with hot and cold running water. A controllable Eberspacher diesel heater which heats the cabin and W. C. A full 240 volt ring-main from shore power is throughout the cabin. The head is to starboard with shower, electric toilet and sink. All fabrics and internal mouldings are in very good condition.

The helm is superbly laid out for the helmsman and co-pilot. Twin double bolsters give an exceptional safe ride for the passengers with seat bases that can be electrically adjusted. The aft bench seating offers seating for 4. The Console is laid out with all controls easy to hand.

Stereo system in console with four speakers.

Machinery

2 X YANMAR 315HP DIESEL INBOARDS.
Mercruiser Bravo 1 Drives and external steering hydraulic rams and tie bar.
The steering is hydraulic and power assisted.
4 blade stainless steel propellers
Engine hours 675 each.
Top Speed approx 50 knots, cruise speed 35/40 knots.

The engine compartment is accessible via an electrically operated hinged lid which is finished in flexi-teak and has a cushion for sunbathing.
