Ker 46 | 2009
Ker 46 "Tonnerre de Glen" is for sale with Ancasta and lying in the South of France.
Designed by Jason Ker in 2009, this all-round performer is quite simply a brilliant design and build!
Built in carbon by Salthouse, New Zealand, this yacht remains one of the most competitive IRC racers on the circuit and over the years has proven herself inshore, offshore, W/L and around the cans, winning a huge number of races.
Twice Overall winner of the RORC Season Championship (three times in class) and twice winner of the UK IRC National Championships from two attempts, to name but few.
Still turning heads with performance on tap and reliability at her core, this is a great package that is not to be missed for the 2024 season and beyond.

Five can sleep comfortably on the windward side, the main working area of the interior has full standing headroom and contains a large chart table with swivel seat.
Forward of the chart table is a large head while opposite along the port side of the yacht a galley unit contains a gas cooker, sink unit, storage and a large and highly efficient built-in electric coolbox/fridge.
Forward of the galley on the port side is an array of personal stowage bags while opposite is a large hanging locker for wet weather gear.
At the front of the accommodation space is a full bulkhead which can be closed off to create an isolated compartment. Another bulkhead at the rear of the bunk area can be similarly closed of to provide some protection against sinking in the case of a collision at sea.

Tonnerre de Glen has been a brilliantly successful yacht ever since her first launch. High performance at her heart, with a clever deck layout and just a few creature comforts below deck, make her as appealing offshore as she is inshore. IRC optimized and with a few tweaks would be a very competitive Admirals Cup yacht, or simply a top performer as she presents today.
