Your visit to Port Hamble
Some helpful information in order to ensure that you have the best possible visit
We have laid out an approximate schedule of what will be happening throughout the day to help you prepare. Should you need a second day for further support our team will discuss and arrange this with you on an individual basis.
9.00 Arrival – join the sales team for a coffee at HQ in Port Hamble. Please be prompt as it is a full day, and the more time we have, the more detailed a handover we can offer.
10.00 On the dock - one of the sales team will accompany you to your boat where you will meet the Handover Technician who has prepared and commissioned your boat. They will spend the day with you familiarising you with the various systems on board.
During the day we have arranged for specialists in the Electronics and Engines areas of your boat, to join us on board to give a more detailed overview.
13.00-14.00 Lunch - and a chance for a pause!
14.00 Sea Trial - our Handover Technician will take you out on your boat so you can familiarise yourself with the boat at sea and at the same time check everything is to your total satisfaction.
16.00 Back on the dock - our Handover Technician will go over the warranty paperwork with you, and you have an opportunity to meet your contacts on our Aftersales and Customer Service teams who will be on hand to help with any queries or requirements you might have after handover.
17.00 Paperwork – we’ll then take you back to the sales office to collect the boat papers and sign the final documentation and the boat will be officially yours!
Please note these timings may vary depending on the questions you may have or we may move the test sail to the morning if the weather forecast is more favourable.
What to bring
Warm clothes – we will be going out on the water for a test sail and it can be chilly out there!
Things to organise prior to handover day
Remember the boat is yours at the end of the day so you must have in place the following:
Safety equipment if you are providing your own equipment you should have this for your delivery to the boats mooring.
Insurance our insurance ceases on handover so your investment should be covered from this point.
Berthing you will need to organise your own berthing after handover. As this is normally Friday there may be an available berth over the weekend, your sales contact will discuss this with you so you can make arrangements in advance.
If you need help or would like us to organise any of these items please do not hesitate to ask!
