Overview

The Beneteau Oceanis 58 is an excellent example of the new generation of modern boats that came out of France several years ago. Looking great on the water, sailing very well - with excellent build quality and thoughtful detailing - the 58 has all the space both above and below you could reasonably want.

As Beneteau's flagship, they gave this boat a beautifully smooth and quiet VW engine; a spacious, light and airy saloon; abundant (LED) saloon lighting and (a great improvement in modern saloon design), an ultra shallow companionway staircase, set at a civilised 45 deg. Couple this with the innovative cockpit arch (keeping all main sheeting out of the cockpit but also acting as a support for the dodger and optional bimini) and equally inspiring (and practical) bathing platform offering great tender storage with easy boarding and it is clear why the 58 won so many plaudits at its release.
