Overview

The iconic Swan 56 a powerful, elegant, sea kindly and comfortable fast cruiser. This Frers design was Nautor Swan's answer to the competition of new production builders. In short, Nautor raised the bar with the 56's combination of the hallmark wedge deck, towering rig, luxurious comfort below and exceptional sailing performance. Fifty of the 56's were built, yet few have the pedigree or stewardship of hull #19 ex LOLITA now AKARANA.
AKARANA has the preferred arrangement with a master cabin forward of the saloon, two cabins aft with upper and lower berths, and a proper forepeak forward.
A new T-keel was installed in 2012 reducing the draft, improving the balance while maintaining the exceptional sailing performance. The Swan 56 is one of the great cruising, passage making sailing yachts on the market.
Lying in Cowes, UK she awaits your arrival for a sea trial and viewing.

Build

CONSTRUCTION
Built using Nautor's signature construction method. The hull is single skin FRP with Kevlar hybrid fibers for strength and impact resistance, the deck is cored with Divinycell foam with FRP skins. A construction method that stands the test of time. Built: 2000 Hull # 19

AKARANA is upgraded with a new T-keel a significant upgrade for both performance and cruising. The draft is reduced to under 10' while the T-shaped keel improves the balance and off wind speed.
Hull and cabin sides are white gel coat with dark blue stripe.
