Overview

ANNY's design and build method are years ahead of her time. Judel/Vrolijk performance, speed and stability, Baltic quality. Built for the family who still own her
Five cabin layout plus crew cabin and tender storage all in a boat that sails exceptionally well. Built for ocean passages and plenty of comfort for the family once they have arrived.
You wonder how did they do that? You should see her to understand her excellence.

Build

NAVAL ARCHITECT: Judel/Vrolick
STRUCTURAL DESIGN: SP-Technologies/R&J Design
BUILDER: Baltic Yachts
DELIVERY YEAR: 1996

CONSTRUCTION METHOD:
Hull, Deck and Structural bulkheads built with Sandwich construction with carbon skins, PVC foam cores and some Aramid fibers in outer hull skin for impact resistance all vacuum bagged and infused with epoxy resin. Then post cured to high temperature for maximum strength & durability.

Starting aft her transom and tender storage is an example of the innovation of ANNY. The transom lifts up, the stern opens up allowing one tender to float free of the boat. Then from the tender you can push the "Garage Door Opener", the transom opens and you can float the tender into the garage, once secured in place, a second tender can then be hoisted aboard with the retractable crane and stored below deck as well. The aft sailing cockpit has twin wheels with controls at both helms for all sailing controls, engine controls, thruster and anchor deployment. The "Entertainment" cockpit features U-shaped seating and drop leaf tables with drinks chillers and glass storage to port and starboard. Over the guest cockpit there is a hydraulically controlled hard top when raised provides protection for the guests and when lowered nestles onto the pilothouse top! The aft deck, side decks and fore deck are expansive and uncluttered. Forward the anchor is deployed by a launching arm that stores below deck. This maintains the clean sharp lines of the performance hull.

Rig

RIG

ANNY's rig is another example of the forward thinking and innovation from J/V.
The sail plan with carbon fiber mast, boom and spinnaker poles (x2) by Marten Spars (now Southern Spars) has many innovations not seen on other yachts or superyachts for years to come.
The mainsheet arch safely removes the mainsheet loads out of the cockpit area. The in boom mainsail furler is now standard on yachts this size and larger. The headsail furlers below deck is now often seen on performance boats that want to maximize luff length. The removable staysail stay facilitates headsail tacking. Headsail sheet leads are on the rail to keep the decks clear.

Accommodation

ANNY is a yacht designed to take a family on passages and voyages to distant ports and the volume of her interior reflects this goal.
Five generous private staterooms, large pilothouse with exceptional sigh lines, sea kindly galley, massive pantry and refrigeration capacity.
There are three steps down from the cockpit to the large pilothouse salon. With large windows to port, starboard and forward the salon is light filled with excellent views.
The dinette table to port easily seats eight with a comfortable settee outboard and three swiveling hi/lo seats inboard. Forward to port is the fully equipped navigation/pilot station. (See the inventory for comprehensive list of equipment). To starboard is the TV/Entertainment center, aft of the this is the storage for flatware, silverware, glasses and liquor. Aft to starboard of the companionway is an "L" shaped settee with a low cocktail table.

The galley is down to starboard partially open to the pilothouse and well lit by the forward windows. The galley layout is another example of the forward thinking design of ANNY her capacity for extended time aboard.
The fully gimabled electric stove is the first indication she is a proper seagoing yacht. The next clue is the massive pantry with two meter deep sliding storage trays, large custom front opening refrigerator and freezer with stainless steel retractable shelves, and the ships laundry. (see inventory for complete list of Galley equipment)

Outboard to port of the pantry is one of the guest staterooms, with twin lower berths, ensuite head & shower. Forward of this cabin and the pantry are the Port and Starboard guest cabins both with upper and lower berths, and ensuite heads with showers. Forward of the guest cabins is the crew quarters with upper an lower berths, crew head, shower and deck hatch for separate crew access.
All of the forward cabina have opening deck hatches with screens & shades and opening portlights.

Aft of the pilothouse/salon are steps leading down and aft to the Port and Starboard Guest Cabins these identical cabins have berths that can be configured as twin berths with a night stand between the berth or as a double berths with the night stand inboard. Both cabins have small writing desks that double as laundry hampers and ensuite heads with showers.

This remarkable arrangement allows the boat to sleep 10 in the owners party with two crew. Or convert one of the forward guest cabin to crew and sleep 8 in the owners party with 4 crew.
