Overview

ALL NEW BENETEAU FIRST 44 WITH EXCEPTIONAL EARLY SEASON OFFER

The Beneteau First 44 is the latest model in a long line of First racer/cruisers that began forty-five years ago. From the design boards of renowned Naval Architect, Roberto Biscontini, he has created a lovely sailing yacht that is the natural link between the First 36 and the First 53 combining performance, elegance and comfort in not one but two packages! In her First 44 version, of which the accompanying spec is an example, there is a very convivial cockpit with four winches positioned forward of the helm positions, level access to the large side decks and a sail plan that provides a masterful balance between the main and fore sails. Laid out internally with three cabins, a forward master with en-suite and twin aft cabins plus additional day heads they are separated by a very comfortable saloon providing dining, galley and navigation areas whilst retaining the light and airy feeling synonymous with modern Beneteau Yachts. Also available in a Performance version, built as a highly competitive cruiser/racer.

Now is the perfect time to discuss your requirements with the First 44 positioning itself in an almost unique position by offering both race-orientated and cruising versions that no matter which you choose promises to offer exceptional performance. Comprehensive finance and part-exchange options are available.

Broker Comments

The New Beneteau First 44 is a pedigree racer cruiser built on years of performance yacht designs that have been competitive from day 1 and are still producing results 10 or more years since their launch. This version of the 44 is the more cruising orientated version with an edge that makes her a fast boat to sail but with additional comforts to make extended cruising even more enjoyable. To assist with short handed sailing the winches and control lines are all led close to the helm positions, to compensate for smaller crew sizes there are 350 litre ballast tanks to each side adding useful weight when sailing tighter angles but also keeping the bow up when off the wind. This makes her an ideal proposition for couples who might be looking to make the most of their sailing time and cover greater ground without the need to accommodate larger crew numbers. If racing is your primary aim then the First 44 Performance version offers the same underlying 'go faster' concept but also focusses on the deck ergonomics with fully crewed racing in mind. Equipment and systems are geared towards racing, 6 Harken Perfoma winches in ideal positions for sail control and trimming, full mainsheet and traveller as well as extended bowsprit, a taller carbon spar package, deeper keel and performance electronics pack. Both versions offer a stream lined interior of three cabins and two heads interwoven with quality finishes and materials to provide a refined atmosphere. The saloon includes a transverse table and seating area for six opposite a sofa and navigation station.
